  • Safe Harbor-AMS fees average 1.37% total, including the advisor fees, trading fees, fund fees, etc.

The following 2 tables are examples of the effects of fees and expenses on your investments.  The first table shows a $250,000 investment and the second table shows a $1million investment, both growing at 8% gross for 10, 20, and 30 years.

The columns titled “Total” is the bottom line given the various fees/expenses.

The columns titled “Difference of Fees” show the amount you would have lost compared to an investment with fees of 1.4% on $250,000 and 1.15% on $1million.

*The following two tables are examples and do not necessarily reflect the actual fees and/or expenses of Asset Management Services, Inc.

The following is an excerpt from an article in the April 2011 edition of Forbes showing the high costs of mutual funds:

'The Real Cost Of Owning A Mutual Fund' by Ty A. Bernicke, 04.04.11, 12:01 PM ET

Cost Summary

The following summarizes the average quantifiable costs described. Advisor and soft dollar costs are excluded due to the large range in advisory fees and the difficulty of quantifying soft dollar costs. When working with a financial advisor, it is important to add the advisory fee to the mutual fund costs listed below for an accurate depiction of total potential costs.
